The attraction is great for a hot afternoon, as the queue can be fairly long, but it is almost all shaded and a good part of it is indoors, with wonderful air conditioning. You’ll see some villains along the way, while you watch Jack try to get out of a few slippery situations. You’ll board a boat and set sail looking for treasure or maybe just a good time. The attraction is housed in a Spanish-Caribbean looking fortress and that theme continues through the attraction. Depp has shown up to play Captain Jack on the ride a few times, but unfortunately, it’s always at the Disneyland ride. You immediately sense that you’ve transitioned to somewhere adventurous. The multitude of vegetation around the bridge does a nice job of separating Main Street, U.S.A from Adventureland. Technically, the land features design elements representing South America, Spain, the Caribbean, and the Middle East, but it feels uniquely cohesive.Īs you leave Main Street, U.S.A and enter Adventureland, you cross over a wood plank bridge with various Polynesian feeling adornments. Rather they are fairly seamlessly woven together to create this tremendous tapestry of a unique far away land. The land has a myriad of architectural themes incorporated into it, but they don’t feel like an odd hodgepodge of things thrown together.
